Our client, a leading provider of retirement plans, insurance, and consulting services is seeking a Operations Associate to process retirement plan payroll files, distributions and loan payments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Process retirement plan payroll files including plan participant contributions, distributions and loan payments as well as disbursement requests via custodian websites
  • Assist with special projects as needed and identify process improvements to create efficiencies
  • Utilize various databases which house retirement plan information and works extensively with MS Excel and Word
  • Take on additional responsibilities that may include managing mutual fund processing
  • Work in a team environment building partnerships across departments at Newport Group
Qualification and Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial services preferably within a trade processing or daily record keeping environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a degree in Finance, Business, Math or Economics preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, and superior client service focus.
  • The ability to be self-motivated and have strong organizational skills to prioritize and handle multiple projects are also important qualities to have in this role
  • Ability to escalate questions and issues as appropriate to management, yet work independently using solid business judgment
  • Consistently report to work as scheduled, be on time, and remain at work for entire assigned shift
