Job Description
  • Facilitate both application and maintenance of lawful immigration status and employment authorization for employees and candidates on a global basis.
  • Oversee and monitor employment visa and work authorization processes from application to approval to renewal.
  • Work with legal counsel to complete applications and supporting documents for submission to government agencies for U.S. work authorization and employment visas. (H-1B, PERM, L-1, O, F-1, J)
  • Support the HR and Talent Acquisition teams by coordinating, processing and assist in filing employee’s PERM, H-1B, OPT application.
 
  • Maintain and update internal immigration files with accurate and timely information and documentation.
  • Track visas and permanent residency application statuses and prepare activity reports.

  • Post and maintain all notice requirements for each individual and ensure all Public Files are created appropriately, maintained and housed within HR.

  • Ensure organization of immigration compliance records including quality control, data input, and maintenance.
  • Partner with Payroll/HRIS to ensure immigration status is tracked within HRIS to ensure accurate reporting and taxes.
  • Proactively communicate with employees, HR, business leaders and other relevant contacts regarding any immigration matters and decisions regarding their associates and the immigration program.
  • Stay abreast of US immigration updates and trends
 
  • Work closely with employees and to provide comprehensive immigration service through the application process, including responses to applications, Requests for Evidence (RFEs), and compliance.
  • Prepare immigration-related correspondence (e.g. employment confirmation letters, invitation letters, travel packets, business introduction letters, etc.) for employees, as needed. Counsel employees and managers on immigration policies, and set expectation on best practices, process and timelines.
 
Global Mobility Program:
  • Ensure compliance with global mobility policies and program guidelines to align with legal, tax, and local employment regulation; stays current with industry trends and best practices. Provide strategic global mobility-related expertise, consultation, and cost estimates to local and home office key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business and HR/Talent strategy, tax, and legal / compliance. Includes working with business unit Human Resource Business Partners.
  • Address inquiries from employees regarding relocation package.
  • Facilitate communication and resolution of issues between employee and relocation vendors.
 
Job Requirements
  • Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years applicable experience i.e. immigration etc.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Workday experience required
  • Microsoft Visio experience required
