Our client, an industry recognized and brand leader in firearms manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, ass and process improvement for a fast pace optical mechanical production environment.

  • You will improve and maintain product lines and production orders.
  • Experienced reviewing 3D models and prints for accuracy and manufacturability.
  • You are experienced working in collaboration with optical, mechanical and electrical engineers including participating in design reviews on regular basis.
  • You will Develops, implements, and manages assembly instructions for the production line. Manages assembly document revision and change control.
  • You have experience working with the design engineers on BOM, change management and configuration control of new and existing products.
  • Develops tooling, assembly instructions and line designs including Kanban replenishment methodologies to support a lean production environment.
  • You will work with Quality Assurance to maintain process control and sampling methodologies to maintain low or zero defects on the line. Develops and controls trouble shooting methodologies and data.
  • You will provide tooling design, assembly line design and process improvement for a fast pace optical mechanical OEM.
  • You will provide lean manufacturing process improvement to current production line and support, direct, and implement New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • You have over 4 years of recent, related Manufacturing or Process Control engineering experience required. Related experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and product development experience preferred. Prior experience as a design engineer a plus.
  • You have prior experience with robotics and PLC programing set up.
  • Microsoft Office and 3D CAD modeling experience required, SolidWorks preferred.
  • You have firearm and sports optics experience along with a knowledge of the shooting sports industry
  • You love lean manufacturing and have experience with NPI project implementation, work instructions and process training.
  • You have machining or CNC machining experience desired.
  • You are certified Six Sigma (green / black belt) a plus.
  • You have prior project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously a plus.
  • You have BS degree in Engineering or similar field of study.
