Our client, an industry leading healthcare information technology company, is seeking to add a HR Project Manager to their team!
 
Job Description
This position is responsible
to provide project management support and control for various internal HR projects, including but not limited to policy design, workforce administration activities, and system implementations. The need for a highly skilled, results oriented project manager is critical. The ideal candidate must have a history of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, using industry standards and project management best practices.
 
  • Effectively serve as overall project manager for various HR business critical, complex and visible projects occurring simultaneously.
  • Responsible for managing effective working relationships between third party vendors and the HR organization.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of HR related projects - organize, initiate, and manage projects end-to end.
  • Evolve program and project management capabilities, leverage project management knowledge across the organization to improve delivery of solutions to HR business clients.
  • Establish positive and collaborative relationships with customers and demonstrate a clear understanding of both internal and external customer requirements and measurement criteria.
  • Consults with HR COE teams to understand organizational needs and align deliverables accordingly; to develop and maintain project initiation statements, project definition reports, business cases and benefits realization estimates.
  • Ensure project plans are developed and managed for each key implementations and other business critical initiatives, and responsible for defining project scope; identify, manage & control changes to scope.
  • Proactively intervenes and course correct to manage any deviations from agreed timelines.
  • Responsible for effective escalation management to ensure project remains on course Provide status reports at defined intervals.
  • Manage the relationship with and performance of third party vendors, this includes but is not limited to: project risk assessments, analyze problem areas and help resolve issues and disputes; manage vendor performance in the areas such as quality, capacity, systems, and responsiveness; holds vendors to agree upon standards and drive continuous improvements.
  • Develop and manage project operating costs, request budget allocation and reallocations and ensure project & program is within budget; develop and maintain project artifacts (stakeholder analysis and status reporting); develop work plans and work programs, including estimates and resource requirements; develop and execute behavioral change management plan to ensure user adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Incorporate industry best practices, conduct internal and external benchmarking, and establish standards, key measures, and metrics.
  • Communicate project status to project sponsors and key stakeholders; proactively take responsibility for risk and issue management; integrate and align with other processes and solutions; participate in and facilitate post project/phase reviews to cultivate a learning organization
 Job Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive project management experience within a large multi-tier organization of comparable size and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. MBA preferred
  • PMP, Six Sigma or comparable certification preferred.
  • Experience implementing/supporting HRIS implementations and functionality required.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in planning, and executing multiple medium to large scale projects from definition through implementation concurrently, including multi-phase, multi-track projects
  • Project management experience that includes application development, package implementation, infrastructure and IT transformation projects and comfortable working within an existing IT project governance framework; well versed in Microsoft Office suite of applications and experienced in using a project planning tool,
  • Knowledge of full lifecycle project management, software development, and infrastructure deployment methodologies and industry best practices
