San Diego-based software company specializing in the development of intelligent, autonomous navigation systems that automate commercial equipment.
This role is for an experienced hands-on technician who can evaluate, inspect, maintain, assemble, and integrate electrical circuitry, wiring, and PCBs for mobile robotic systems.
  • Performs technical functions in support of End of Line Testing and Design Verification review for engineering including: maintenance, modification, operation, circuit testing, validation, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electromechanical components
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal instructions
  • Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions, and makes necessary repairs
  • Repairs, modifies, and fabricates cables for prototyping and development
  • Participates in special projects as required

  • Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
  • 3 years of hands-on experience
  • Understanding of electrical diagrams including PCB layouts, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Hands-on experience with assembly of electrical prototypes using engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles
  • Experience with wiring diagrams, documentation, and parts lists
  • The ability to install and maintain electrical systems
  • The ability to write commissioning procedures for electrical installations
  • Understanding to draw or modify diagrams and write engineering specifications to clarify design details and functional criteria of experimental electronics units
  • Troubleshooting capabilities to determine causes of operating error
  • Comprehensive knowledge of different tools and equipment needed, including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, soldering irons, heat guns, crimping and removal tools
  • Critical thinking skills to identify the pros and cons of alternate solutions
