We are looking for a Development Associate to join us and help make the world a better place to live!

Position Overview:
The Business Development / Organizational Growth Associate will support our individual and family foundation investors, ambassador networks, corporate and foundation investors, event planning and logistics across North America. this associate will report to the Associate Director, North America and have the opportunity to learn about the functioning of a highly results-oriented global nonprofit.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support North America team with daily administrative tasks including but not limited to scheduling meetings, meeting preparation, note preparation.
  • ​Manage administrative tasks including data entry, prospect research, creating individual and family foundation, communications pieces and presentations, and management of records in the NGO Connect database (NGOC).
  • Coordinate and manage the North America (NA) Team’s use of NGOC by recording donor moves management, entering new contacts, updating donor information, running reports and queries, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Research outreach opportunities and draft presentations/pitches for individuals, family foundations, schools, and prospective donors.
  • Work closely with members of the NA Team to draft external and internal donor solicitations, communications pieces, proposals, and reports.
  • Provide logistical support on annual North America events, including but not limited to: timeline and venue research, budgets/payment, crafting and sending invitations and communication and managing invite lists. 
  • Provide execution support on annual North America events, including but not limited to: maintaining accurate RSVPs and reports, responding to attendee questions, picking up/delivering materials, and attending all events, as needed. 
  • Field inquiries from prospective donors via phone and email. 
  • Supporting the Development Analyst as needed with the coordination of logistics of mailings including: generating and sending acknowledgment letters and ensuring the timely delivery and tracking of quarterly communication pieces on behalf of the team (Year-in-Review, Annual Report, etc.). 
  • Support market end-of-year fundraising campaigns by working closely with the NA team on donor strategy, solicitations, moves management, meetings, communications, and mailings. 
  • Conduct prospect research through Wealth Engine and Google searches. 
  • Support the monthly communications strategy of NA donor prospects. 
  • Support the coding and tracking of NA a revenue.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years’ prior experience working in a fast-paced global office environment  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English 
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail  
  • Adept at using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint  
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously, take initiative and carry-out detailed follow-through 
  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects but also enjoy working in a highly collaborative team environment 
  • Flexibility to take on ad hoc projects as needed 
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided
  • Experience working with databases, specifically in Salesforce and NGO Connect
  • Track record of fundraising for international programs
  • Experience managing and planning fundraising events
