Pay Rate: $18-$24

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, test, and calibrate and create documentation for industrial instrumentation at customer site.
  • Install start-up and commission industrial instrumentation at customer site.
  • Handle routine, daily technical support calls, documentation and emails concerning post-sale product support.
  • Emphasis on control systems requiring the ability to troubleshoot and maintain instruments that interface with control systems including PLC programming, interface systems to PLCs such as MMI, SCADA and other industrial field control devices, pressure transmitters, thermocouple options, motorized valves, proximity sensors, etc.
  • Applications and uses of variable speed drives and associated operator interface devices.
  • Perform calibration and input operating parameters and specifications as defined by plant specifications, management and or engineer.
  • Document field service customer site visits via Field Service Reports.
  • Train FCI personnel, customers, and Sales Representatives regarding the installation, integration, configuration, service and usage of FCI industrial instrumentation.
  • Performs duties in a fiscally responsible manner while observing all safety practices and regulations.
  • Maintain effective and constructive working relationships with others both internally and externally
  • Performs operational checks on test equipment and sensors.
  • Operation of various data acquisition systems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Associate of Science degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years progressive related work experience (Commercial or Military); of which 3+ years’ work experience with fluid dynamics and/or process controls is a plus.
  • Familiar with testing equipment such as volt meters, pilot tubes, anemometers, HART communicator, and basic hand tools.
  • Knowledge in physical layer connectivity of industrial bus communications i.e. HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, and Modbus a plus.
  • Ability to read schematics, P&ID’s, and wiring diagrams.
  • Possess strong math skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Outlook, MS Excel, Lab View and Word.
  • Previous experience view files through a product data management platform, ADEPT preferred.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently or under guidance of engineering team.
  • Operational knowledge of PLCs, VFDs and DCS.
  • Ability to work overtime and travel.
  • Requires participation in ASAP random drug testing program.
