Our client, an industry recognized and brand leader in firearms manufacturer is seeking a Test & Evaluation Manager.

Skills needed to be successful in this role
  • Supervise the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and methodologies for products, systems, and components.
  • Oversee the identification of functional discrepancies and leads the analysis and interpretation of test results.
  • Accuracy document and implement test reports and maintain consistent test methods.
  • Oversee the documentation, definition and maintenance of internal quality control standards and reliability programs.
  • Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems and components with various engineering groups.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and product teams to manage, track and control project issues to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of projects. 
  • Oversee the Test Engineers and provides direction regarding projects, tasks, and operations; acts as a liaison to other engineering functions.
  • Responsible for employee safety during test and evaluation procedures
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects.
  • Ensure individual projects are communicated clearly and completed on time.
  • Applies continuous improvement methodologies and toolsets; generates opportunities, sets priorities, identifies solutions, and manages projects
  • BA in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures found within the field.
  • Able to maintain a wide variety of projects and deliver results in a timely fashion.
  • Capable of influencing and building partnerships, developing team work and managing others.
  • Strong communication, planning, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Experience with test data management in a database format is a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
