A global defense company in San Diego is Quality Assurance Engineer that will develop, evaluate, revise and apply technical quality assurance protocol and methods.  This individual will inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished goods and ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations. 
You will be a key member in RCA and Corrective teams you will support product teams and ensure compliance to customer, internal and regulatory requirements. 
  1. 4+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering or Product Assurance in an electrical/electronic manufacturing and defense electronics environments
  2. Bachelor of Science degree
  3. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies, including 8D and 5Y methodology              
  4.  Three years of experience with RC/CA
  5. Experience performing defect trends/analysis for continuous improvement
  6. You will have experience in electronics, inspection, soldering and in accord with standards (J-STD-001 and Inspection Standard IPC-A-610), work plans and assembly practices.
  7. Improve cycle-time, cost and quality using Six Sigma, Lean, or Statistical tools.    
  8. Participate in the development process/design reviews to provide technical input on Design for Manufacturability.
  9. Bachelor of Science degree.
  10. You will review Acceptance Test Procedures and Acceptance Test Data Record to ensure data meets specification to be presented along with the product as required.    
  11. You have experience in blue print interpretation, test procedures and equipment, material review functions (failure cause identification and corrective action), contract review and interpretation, and configuration control.
  12. You hold certifications in (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer and Six Sigma (Greenbelt/Blackbelt)/Lean experience.
  13. Active Clearance greatly preferred
